CIB CAMPAIGN E-NEWSLETTER NO.1 MAY 2006
Thank you for being amongst the first to sign Campaign for an Independent Britain's nationwide petition for Britain to leave the European Union. We have been very encouraged by the initial response to this campaign, although inevitably there is much more to be done.¶¶
Our petition wording is deliberately blunt and to the point. We believe that Britain should leave the corrupt, bureaucratic and obsolete EU bloc and in so doing lead both our country and Europe in a new direction - one based on freedom and co-operation rather than coercion.¶¶
I hope that you will do everything you can to collect signatures, either by encouraging friends and colleagues to use the on-line facility at www.eurosceptic.org.uk/campaign or by circulating paper copies of the petition, which is also available from the website. There is also a leaflet available, which aims to explain the facts to those who have been frightened by EU scare stories. ¶¶
We have a monumental task to gather enough signatures to make an impact on Parliament and the media. All this will take money and resources. If you have not yet joined CIB, please visit our main website at www.cibhq.co.uk where you can find details of membership. I hope you will join us in our struggle for British freedom!¶¶
Once again, thank you for your support.¶¶
Yours sincerely¶
LORD STODDART OF SWINDON¶
Chairman, Campaign for an Independent Britain¶¶
