Four steps to action...
1) Please send a letter about our petition to your local paper.
2) This tends to work best if you are replying to a letter about the EU (whether it is supportive or in opposition). The following is a sample text. Please ensure that the website address (www.eurosceptic.org.uk/campaign) is included in your letter.

Dear Sir,
In reply to Mx Xxxxx's letter about the benefits of Britain's membership of the European Union, many people in this country are increasingly questioning what those benefits are, and whether they justify the huge costs involved.
The fact is that Britain would thrive outside the European Union. We would cease to pay vast sums - amounting to at least £6,000,000,000 every year - to the EU. We would free ourselves of the grotesque Common Agricultural and Fisheries policies which have wrecked our countryside and decimated fishing stocks.
We will reassert our right to be governed by our own elected representatives rather than by un-elected bankers in Frankfurt and corrupt bureaucrats in Brussels. We will resume our rightful place as a world trading nation, benefiting from the new opportunities arising within emerging markets such as India and China.
Contrary to the scare stories put out by the EU and its apologists leaving the EU will lead to more, not fewer jobs in this country.
The Campaign for an Independent Britain, a cross-party, non-sectarian and non-racist organization, has launched a petition calling for the British parliament to legislate for Britain to leave the European Union. The petition can be signed at www.eurosceptic.org.uk/campaign. It is backed by supporters of all the major democratic parties, who are working to free us all from the EU straitjacket.
