Information about Britain and the European Union

Welcome to the activists' site of the Campaign for an Independent Britain. From here you can take part in on-line lobbying in support of getting Britain out of the European Union.

Freeing ourselves democratically from the European Union will only be achieved if a majority of our MPs, pressured by informed public opinion, vote to repeal the 1972 legislation under which we joined the EU. CIB campaigns aim to help bring this about.

Current CIB campaigns:

Gordon Brown and the Labour Party promised the British people at the last election that a referendum would be held before the introductin of the European Union Constitution. Everyone agrees the EU 'Reform Treaty' now being proposed is simply the EU Constitution under a different name. So where's the referendum?
